SENIORS

It goes without saying that without the senior section of the club there would be no junior section. The Junior Elks are proud of their heritage and value highly the support and commitment of the members of the senior club. Ilkeston RUFC have a fascinating history (although the bit about Anglo Saxon warriors challenges reality a little!) and has now for many years made a valuable contribution to the local community; the club crest incidentally is representative of the old Borough of Ilkeston. Currently residing in Midlands 3 East (North) of the RFU pyramid the future is looking very bright for what can only be described as a very progressive club. Several members of the First XV squad can often be seen at junior section training sessions, their support and commitment is most welcome and very much appreciated; it is of course our aim to repay their efforts by encouraging our 'youngsters' to progress through the ranks and become 'Firsts' themselves.
