Players must be registered through the club, with the RFU. This ensures that players and club alike are insured and are operating within the rules of the RFU.
A GUIDE TO RFU REGISTRATIONS - UNDER 7 TO UNDER 19
(Not to be confused with the club registration/membership form)
RFU Registrations can be confusing the following guidelines should hopefully help.
RFU Registrations are always due at the beginning of every season.
It is always the following age groups - Under 8's, Under 11's, Under 13's, Under 16's and Under 18's that need to re-register every year.
Subsequently a player should re-register with the RFU every 2 / 3 years depending on age group.
Additionally any un-registered or new player should be registered what ever their age group.
Our registration days for the 2008-09 season will be Sunday 31st August 2008 and Sunday 7th September 2008.
Two passport style photos plus a completed RFU Registration Form, downloadable from

are required to be handed to the Club Registration Officer.
All players will also need to complete the club registration/membership form every season. The club registration/membership form will ask for details on any health issues which may affect the safety, health and welfare of players during play. It is imperative that you inform us of any health issues.
Subscription fees for the 2008/09 season are £40, and will be required before the end of September 2008. A player will not be eligible to take part in matches if their subscription is not paid.

To ensure that use of the clubhouse is in accordance with senior club rules and insurance regulations the fees include family membership.
VP Membership of Ilkeston RUFC is available at a supplement of £20 per person and £25 per family.
Only one type of membership is required per family.
Subscription fees amongst other things cover the cost of RFU/NLD registration, insurance, the provision of a playing shirt on match days, post match catering and pitch maintenance. Please give your subscription fees and club registration/membership form to the relevant age grade coach or team manager. If you should have any concerns with regard to these matters please speak in confidence with any committee member.
IMPORTANT NOTE - WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT PERSONAL INSURANCE FOR PLAYERS IS CONSIDERED.
